Mission statement of WIRTSCHAFTSWUNDER e.V.
Our understanding of responsibility
Business never happens in a vacuum. Companies and organizations are always part of a social structure – with influence, impact, and responsibility. The common-good (public value) approach offers a modern framework for shaping this responsibility consciously. It helps organizations define their role in society, strengthen their legitimacy, and connect business activity with benefits for society.
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) expressly recommends integrating the Economy for the Common Good into European and national legal frameworks. This includes encouraging companies to prepare a common-good balance sheet and to systematically check investment decisions for their impact on the common good. The goal is a shift toward a European ethical market economy – an economic model that combines economic strength with social justice and environmental responsibility.
More than 4,500 NGOs and companies already support this path (source: ecogood.org). This development shows: a future-proof economy measures success not only in numbers, but in impact.

Appreciation as a basic attitude
We believe in the inviolable dignity of every human being. WIRTSCHAFTSWUNDER e.V. stands for a conscious, respectful, and unprejudiced attitude – regardless of position, background, beliefs, or faith.
In our view, a lack of respect and the idea that some people are worth more than others are central causes of internal conflicts, social tensions, and harmful economic developments. That is why we promote a culture that recognizes diversity, enables dialogue, and empowers people.
Clear limits based on conviction
Our values are not negotiable. That is why we do not work with companies that produce war equipment or act as suppliers in this field. We also exclude companies from the red-light industry from all our activities.
This stance expresses our conviction that doing business is always also an ethical act.
People at the center
In all our projects, partnerships, and initiatives, people come first. We promote personal growth, strengthen community, and create space for development, trust, and effectiveness.
Our goal is to shape economic processes so that they support people – not the other way around. We want to enable organizations to take responsibility, unlock their potential, and make a real contribution to the common good.
